Blueberry crumble

I always have a sweet tooth but in the summer I start craving fruit desserts to fulfill my cravings. During a trip to the awesomely huge Whole Foods in Lincoln Park I found some great looking blueberries and decided to make a crumble to combine the sweet, warm goodness with another summer dessert staple- icecream!

Blueberry Crumble
Adapted from Whole Foods website
Serves 4

1 1/2 pints blueberries
1/2 tablespoon flour
1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup flour
1/4 plus 1/8 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup oats
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
2 1/4 tablespoons butter

Hello, blog world!

I have been cooking and baking for as long as I can remember! I come from a long line of cooks- my mom has a catering and cake decorating business and my grandma grew up cooking during the Great Depression. I learned a lot by watching and helping both of them in the kitchen.

I moved to the suburbs of Chicago 3 years ago with my husband and we enjoy cooking/baking from scratch, attempting to grow a garden, exploring local restaurants, trying new food, and tasting wine and beer.

I have had several people tell me to blog my recipes so I am jumping in to share my adventures in and out of the kitchen!
